The College Hall and classroom for classics are the most spacious rooms in the centre. They were the most prestigious spaces in this old school, the first to have co-ed university classes in the province. When Dr.Weir was not giving a class, the school glee club sang, the debating societies argued, or the Saint-Andrew''''s society dined. Rent both rooms, or just one. You and your guests can dance all night long in this prestigious area. Possible activities: Weddings, dinners, family occasions, conferences, cocktail parties, general assemblies, annual parties, workshops, plays, shows, concerts, etc.

The vaulted reading room of the Literary and Historical Society takes you to an atmosphere of nineteenth-century intellectual elegance. It is easy to imagine Victorian gentlemen on the leather couch discussing the latest developments in phrenology while shrouded in cigar smoke. The room is filled to the brim with old artifacts: tall ships, marble busts, and a curious wooden statue of General Wolfe from 1779. After 140 years of continuous operation in the same rooms, one can still check out old tomes about crossing the Moghul Empire on an Elephant, just ask the librarian sitting behind former prime minister George-Etienne Cartier''s mahogany desk.
